Steve joined Cross Company in 1995 as our Planning and Development Manager. In 1997 he became President of Automation. Effective December 1, 2008, Steve was promoted to COO, and then CEO on December 1, 2009.
Prior to Cross Company, Steve had a very successful consulting practice, served as Vice President Sales and Marketing for Pacific Scientific motion control division and Area Sales Manager for Eaton Corporation. He is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
Jerry joined Cross Company in 1997 as our Controller. In 2005 Jerry was promoted into his present role following the retirement of our former CFO. Jerry spent seven years with Regional CPA firm, McGladrey and Pullen.
He graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2001. Jerry was awarded CFO of the Year for the Triad for mid-sized companies in 2012
Rock joined Cross Company in 1979 as Field Account Manager in our Fluid Power Division. His career with our company is one of steady progression into positions of greater responsibility. Rock was promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 1984, Vice President of Sales in 1995, and into his present role in 1998.
He received both Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Agriculture Mechanization from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Rock also attended the Young Executives Institute at the University of North Carolina.
Brodie joined Cross Company in 1976 as a Fluid Power Territory Manager. Since that time he has served Cross in other management roles including Fluid Power Industrial Products Sales Manager, Cross Hose & Fittings Division Manager, Cross Fluid Power Regional Sales Manager, and Director of Cross Engineered Systems.
In 2003 Brodie was promoted to Cross Instrumentation Group President. From 2011 through 2013 he served dual roles as Group President as well as V.P. Corporate Marketing. In March 2014 he relinquished his role as Group President to focus full-time on marketing. Brodie received his Bachelor of Science degree from Elon University in Elon, N.C. and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina.
Bill joined Cross Company in 2006 as Regional Sales Manager, preparing for his eventual role as executive leader of our Automation Division. Bill was promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2007 and Division President in 2008.
Prior to joining Cross, Bill enjoyed a very successful career with General Electric. He joined GE in 1992 and progressed from field sales to VP of Sales and Marketing and eventually Sales Executive for their industrial market - including process automation, power, and drive systems.
He also spent three years with Allen Bradley in a sales role. Bill received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and his MBA from The University of Michigan.
Richard joined Cross Company in 2008 following Cross Company’s acquisition of Innovative Controls. Prior to joining Cross Company, Richard co-founded Innovative Controls in June of 1991. Innovative Controls is a process automation systems integration company serving manufacturing facilities in the southeastern US.
Jason joined Cross Company in 2000 following the acquisition of Automatic Controls. Jason became President of Cross Company’s Instrumentation Group in 2014. The Instrumentation Group is a manufacturer’s representative and value added distributor of products and solutions that help customers measure, analyze, control, and safely operate their processes.
In his time with Automatic Controls and Cross Company, Jason has held numerous responsibilities in sales, operations, E-commerce, and management. Prior to his promotion, Jason spent 10 years as the Cross Company Instrumentation Regional Manager for the Tennessee Region.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. Jason resides in Knoxville, TN with his wife and three daughters, and is proud to be a part of the Cross Company family of Employee Owners.
In 1973, Rissa joined Cross Company in Greensboro in a clerical role and quickly progressed through other positions within the operation, including Operations Manager (Charleston, SC in 1978 and in Norcross, GA in 1982) and Regional Operations Manager in 1984.
In 1999 Rissa returned to Greensboro as Director of Operations for Cross Fluid Power and was promoted to her current role in 2010. Rissa attended Drew University in Madison, NJ.
Teri is the Vice President of Human Resources at Cross Company and has led Human Resources at the company since September 2009. She is in charge of developing and maintaining strategies for Employee Relations, Compensation, Employee Development, and Recruiting and Retention.
Teri has been a top level executive leader in Human Resources for over 25 years. Her previous experience included Burlington Chemical Company, Burlington Research, and Universal Furniture. She was certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resources Certification Institute in 1994. She continued to recertify and pursue continuing education in the field until she eventually earned the designation of Lifetime Certified Senior Human Resources Professional. Recently she earned certification as a Lominger Leadership Architect facilitator.

Joe joined Cross Company in 2013 as VP of Information Technology and is responsible for all Information Technology services. Prior to joining Cross Company, Joe lead the Trade Finance engineering division of ACI Worldwide.
Prior to that he spent over nine years at Lash Group/AmerisourceBergen where he directed technology for all client programs and spearheaded corporate initiatives to transform the business.
Joe graduated from Belmont Abbey College with a bachelors degree in Business Administration and a minor in entrepreneurship.
