Network Design

Innovative Controls has a wide range of network design experience in multiple applications including hazardous locations and FDA validated installations. ICI has the experience and expertise to design superior networks of any size and scope. Our designs result in peek performing networks with high network integrity. General design deliverables include logical and physical system architecture drawings along with the detailed Instrument Segment Diagrams (ISD). Some examples of our network migration design experience include processor replacements with a Profibus scanner module, creating a remote IO racks and implementing device gateways to
interface with legacy protocols.

Network Analysis

A network analysis consists of a full system audit, which includes offsite design review, on-site survey, and/or network loading evaluations for current and future requirements. The analysis deliverables consist of a detailed evaluation report, which provides recommendations and/or a comprehensive implementation strategy.

Network Validation

ICI has the training and experience to validate the operation of almost any network. Many high speed digital networks do not operate at peak performance and may sporadically lose connections. ICI has the skills and tools necessary to check-out, commission, and test the network for proper installation, configuration, and termination. In addition, a packet analyzer can be used to determine of the health of all the hardware, as well as the available network bandwidth.

Field Device Configuration

ICI can provide smart field device configuration and populate your PDM or AMS database with the associated information. ICI has the technical expertise to configure the entire network all the way to the plant floor. We provide device configuration and instrumentation specification sheets to define operational characteristics as well as the configuration.
