The program begins with a facilities study identifying potential savings opportunities including utilities and raw material inputs to process, as well as production and storage of product.

2. Assessment

Assessment is then created with calculations of savings and payback periods of potential savings opportunities.

3. Implementation

Formulation an implementation strategy of savings opportunities in order to realize the savings potentials.  Initial implementations focused upon are generally projects that have simple pay backs of less than two years.

4. Review

A review projects outcomes is performed to benchmark the new process. Resource savings projects that produce the best return generally have a simple pay back of less than two years.  Often, implementations are far less, paying back in several months or less.
