Transair Aluminum Piping

Product Overview
Parker Transair offers a cost-effective, innovative and energy efficient aluminum compressed air pipe system that is easy to assemble, change and expand.
Transair offers the right solutions for all of your compressed air, liquid and inert gas applications. Quick assembly, durability, superior performance and reduced overall cost of your compressed air piping, fluid quick connection pipe and inert gas aluminum piping needs available from Cross Hose & Fittings.
Transair’s aluminum and stainless steel pipe systems are easy to assemble and easy to modify. Transair piping is easier to lift and handle than standard steel piping, and its push-to-connect fittings secure connections with a simple push and twist. The fittings eliminate the need for skilled pipe fitters, special tools, pipe preparation and threading.
Easily Create New Connections
Transair also eliminates the time needed for soldering and glue drying. And once the pipe is pushed into the fitting, the connection is secure and ready to be pressurized.
Lastly, various technologies take into account the specific requirements of each diameter of pipe and provide you with an optimum safety factor and easy connection.
Transair also offers an easy means of adding new drop or bypass onto an existing length of pipe is an important consideration for any air pipe work system. Transair quick assembly brackets are designed for this purpose, without the need to cut the pipe. A swans neck built into the brackets retains condensate water in the main line. Thanks to its small size, the Transair quick assembly bracket facilitates new additions in the tightest places and can be used for connecting horizontal branch lines and vertical drops.

Optimum Efficiency of Machinery & Tools
The “full bore” design of Transair’s components, the low friction coefficient of aluminum pipe and stainless steel, and the sealing characteristics of the system ensure optimal and constant flow throughout. Due to its innovative technology, Transair gives better performance in terms of improved flow and reduced pressure drop.
Constant Flow
A 63 mm Transair system gives a flow performance better than that of a nominal (2 ½’’) galvanized steel system. Transair aluminum pipe ensures superior flow performance over a longer period of time.
Low Friction
Steel pipe can rode by a 40% factor over its lifetime. Transair maintains is smooth bore throughout its lifetime.
Smooth Operation
Transair combines adaptability, quick installation, high performance and durability, while improving the related maintenance and operating cost.
Overall Savings from Transair
Reduction of Installation
Transair aluminum and stainless steel systems are quick to install and ready for immediate pressurization. Components are removable and interchangeable and allow immediate and easy layout modifications. All components incorporate quick assembly connection, which enables Transair systems to be assembled much more quickly than galvanized steel or copper system.
- Galvanized installation: 6 feet per hour
- Copper installation: 8 feet per hour
- Transair installation: 45 feet per hour
Operating Cost & Commissioning Cost
All modifications or added extensions to a Transair system can be done extremely quickly and will meet your production requirements.
- Lateral dismantling of pipe: 1 minutes 30 seconds
- Drilling of pipe: 2 minutes 30 seconds
- Mounting Brackets: 45 seconds
- Remounting of pipe to the system: 1 minute 30 seconds

Durable Equipment, Clean Air Quality
Transair aluminum and stainless steel pipe systems ensure a total absence of corrosion (self protection by formation of aluminum oxide). The inner pipe surface consistently delivers clean compressed air, inert gas, and chilled water. Transair also protects industrial equipment against water deterioration thanks to its quick assembly brackets with integral upward loop.
Transair prevents the problems caused by rust, which affects galvanized steel systems. Due to consistent clean air/water, Transair aluminum pipe and stainless steel ensures higher longevity of equipment and avoids frequent changes of filtration elements.
