Cross Company History – McDonald Scale and Supply
Founded in 1971, McDonald Scale & Supply, LLC was an independent scale dealer located in Chattanooga, TN. With service experience in everything from laboratory balances to railcar scales, they offered a wide range of scale calibration and inspection services. On call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, they dedicated themselves to providing a prompt and efficient service offering for customers in western Tennessee and the surrounding area.
In addition to their service offering, an experienced sales team and representation for some of the best manufacturing equipment, helped them offer customers ”the right equipment at the right price” based on their weighing needs. With a focus on quality, the team at McDonald Scale and Supply also believed that engineering up front would save money, and preventive maintenance was key to the longevity of equipment.
In 2006, McDonald Scale and Supply was acquired by J.A. King, which would go on to become our precision measurement group. Their team’s focus on quality and customer service was an integral part to our expansion into the region and today our Chattanooga team operates a full service calibration facility, offering scale calibration and inspection, in addition to a range of other precision measurement services.
