Flow Control Valves

Danfoss main company logo

Product Overview

Danfoss flow control valves are the perfect balance of pressure and flow. They are able to precisely take temperature, pressure, and volume of flow into account, providing efficient handling for each application. These flow control valves are able to provide reliable operation in a wide range of situations, such as hydraulic systems that require integrated relief screw-in cartridge valves, applications requiring pressure compensation, or even unique combinations of features. They have a pressure rating of up to 350 bar (or 5,000 psi) and a flow rating of up to 350 L/min (or 92 gal/min).

Key Features

The right valve for the application

  • Adjustable or non-adjustable pressure compensated flow regulator
  • Fixed and adjustable priority bypass type flow regulator
  • Adjustable flow control with or without free reverse flow check
  • Needle valves and velocity fuses

Ground and hardened materials

  • All of Danfoss flow control valve cartridges are made of hardened and ground materials (steel or aluminum) for maximum durability and reliability
  • Danfoss cartridge valves and coils can be supplied with zinc plating, and aluminum manifolds can be anodized to improve corrosion resistance.

Options for standard housing and ports

  • In-line single or dual
  • SAE, 4-bolt, code 61
  • Close coupled, nipple mounted
  • Gasket mounted single or dual

Advanced Valve Features

  • Industry standard cavity tool
  • IP69K ToughCoilsTM compatible
  • Highly engineered components
  • Designed for optimized linearity and hysteresis
  • Compact design with low pressure drop
  • Optional manual override
  • Integrated LS check feature in standard cavity

Enhanced Spool Valve Performance Features

  • Optimized flow forces: critical to control of the
spool and providing stable, even and controllable
    proportional control
  • Optimized jet: controls the metering of flow to
    the spool
  • Dual spring design: ESVL9 valve utilizes two springs to control metering of the spool while the competition uses one
  • Advanced engineering: 30+ design cases with full CFD analysis resulting in optimized geometry

Did you know… Cross Company is an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). Our ESOP started in 1979 and as of 2006, we are 100% employee-owned! Learn more about our ESOP and how that benefits both team members and our customers.
Did you know... the precision measurement group at Cross was founded in 1939 by our current CEO's grandfather, Jim King. That's a whole lot of calibration!
Did you know... A fingerprint weighs about 50 micrograms. We know, we weighed it! The residue left from a finger can actually make a difference in weight results which is why we wear gloves when we calibrate weights. For reference, a sheet of paper is about 4.5 grams, that’s 4.5 million micrograms.
Did you know… Cross Company has grown significantly since our start in 1954. Over the years we've acquired 26 companies! Today, our five groups have expertise in everything from industrial automation to precision measurement, and industry knowledge going all the way back to 1939.
