Last Saturday, December 4, 2021, Cross Company, in conjunction with Guilford Apprentice Partners, held our company’s first open house for our future high school student apprentices. We were super excited to have them on site, touring our building and learning from our expert technicians about what we do. We welcomed 12 students and their parents into our Whitsett facility. Students broke the ice over donuts, with our interactive Cross Company Trivia Kahoot game!
This is the beginning of a new avenue to produce some of the best talent in our industry. Students who apply to the GAP program by January 31, 2022 will receive official notice of acceptance into the program by mid-February. Students who are accepted into the program will have the opportunity to take a deeper look into our company during the March Invitational. By May of 2022, Cross Company will welcome our inaugural cohort of Apprentices to join our family. Once our student apprentices join the team, they will participate in our 6-week pre-apprenticeship during the summer of 2022. After the pre-apprenticeship, students will become student apprentice associates with our great company.
