Red Lion Case Study – Managed Ethernet Switches Enable Real-time Status Monitoring and Race Timing

Red Lion Case Study - Managed Ethernet Switches Enable Real-time Status Monitoring and Race Timing 1

MYLAPS, a timing solutions company, needed to improve the availability of their Ethernet switches

Unsurprisingly, when you’re racing in a circuit, timing data is critical.  Not only must results be precise and available instantly, but the data must be gathered and shared during the race.

MYLAPS is a sports timing technology company which works with events, timers, athletes and partners all over the world.  They wanted to improve the availability of their existing Ethernet switches and turned to Red Lion’s Sixnet® series SLX managed industrial Ethernet switches.

MYLAPS needed a solution that enabled both status monitoring and display race timing in real-time. It selected the SLX-6RS-5CC-D1 with Modbus/TCP via Ethernet.  Click here to read the full case study.
