Installation Guidelines
- Unrestricted straight pipe runs upstream of the meter (0 x Pipe Diameter).
- Do not place abrpt restrictions downstream of the meter.
General Installation Requirements
- These meters are designed with an integral flow straightener and as such, do not require any straight pipe lengths in front or behind the meter.
- The Pipe Diameter should not be abruptly reduced or expanded in front of or behind the meter.
- No abrupt restrictions should be placed directly in front of or behind the meter.
- All regulation of the flow (valves, etc.) should be done downstream of the meter.
- The meter must be fully supported and installed in pipe free of stress.
- The location of the meter should be such that it is not possible for air pockets to develop in the meter; For instance, the meter should not be located at high points in the pipeline and/or operated under half full pip conditions.
